Lance Allred 'Thrilled and Happy' to Be in NBA
In the IDAHO STATESMAN, Chris Langrill writes, "Basketball player Lance Allred has had a pregame ritual for some time now. 'For years, I've always had a mantra that I say to myself during the national anthem,' Allred said. 'And at one point I say, 'I will be the best basketball player that I can be, and I will play in the NBA.'He has had to alter that mantra lately - because he is in the NBA.Allred, a 6-foot-11 center who played all of last season and 38 games with the Idaho Stampede this season, is in the midst of his second 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Orlando Magic forward Brian Cook could miss up to two weeks because he broke his right middle finger in practice. The Magic said Monday that Cook would rest 10 to 14 days, then be re-evaluated. The Magic's season ends with three games from April 13-16. They have eight games remaining. Cook joined Orlando in a November trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is averaging four points and two rebounds.
