The Golden State Warriors exercised the option Tuesday to keep coach Don Nelson under contract for the 2008-09 season. The two sides reworked Nelson's deal last September, giving the coach a raise in exchange for turning the third year of his contract into a team option. The Warriors (39-23) put together one of their best season on years, and the team decided to guarantee Nelson a reported $5.1 million for next season.

Cavaliers G Snow to miss 4-6 weeks with knee injury
Cavaliers guard Eric Snow will likely miss the remainder of the regular season with a cranky left knee, just the latest medical misfortune in a season of bumps, bruises and bandages in Cleveland. Snow, who underwent surgery on his left knee just before the season opener, is expected to be out 4-to-6 weeks with arthritis-related symptoms in the knee, the team said. The 34-year-old is averaging just one point in 13.9 minutes per game this season for the injury-ravaged Cavs.

Bynum temporarily dislocated his kneecap and sustained a bone bruise early in the third quarter of a 100-99 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 13 when he landed on teammate Lamar Odom's left foot while going for a rebound. "He's coming along well. He's progressing," coach Phil Jackson said before Tuesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors.
