Golden State center Andris Biedrins is out indefinitely after undergoing an appendectomy Thursday night. Biedrins, a four-year pro from Latvia who leads the NBA in field goal percentage (62.2), missed his first game of the season when the Warriors hosted Atlanta on Friday night. The team said it had no timetable for his return, but Biedrins is expected to miss at least one week. He had started 41 of Golden State's first 54 games, averaging 10.3 points and a team-leading 9.7 rebounds.

For weeks, Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas has been targeting a March 2 return from knee surgery. On Saturday night, he conceded that he's not close to being ready to play.
