Ford, who sprained his right wrist (shooting hand) in Monday's 93-88 loss to the visiting San Antonio Spurs. Ford played fewer than nine minutes against the defending NBA champions and was not successful on any of his four shots from the field. ESPN.com reports, "O'Neal, who is learning a new offense and working his way into shape after a hip injury, is unlikely to play when the Suns visit Golden State on Wednesday night. After returning from the Bay Area, the team will decide whether O'Neal will play against Dallas on Thursday night in Phoenix. 'I want to be a little more in tune before I step out on the court, because as you watch this team without me, they're like a great flowing machine,' O'Neal said after practice Tuesday at US Airways Center. LeBron enters partnership with State Farm
LeBron James has teamed up with a good neighbor. The Cavaliers' All-Star forward has signed a sponsorship agreement with State Farm insurance, which is hoping the popular 23-year-old can help it attract young adult policy holders. Terms were not disclosed. "The relationship will be focused on helping connect our State Farm brand and products - particularly our auto and renters insurance - to a young audience in new and relevant ways." said Pam El, State Farm's vice president of marketing.

Childress to miss at least 1 game
The Atlanta Hawks are without guard Josh Childress for at least one game because of a knee injury. Childress will miss Wednesday night's game at Charlotte after suffering an injury to his right knee in Tuesdays game. The Hawks say the injury is a mild hyperextension. Childress is the team's top backup. He completed Tuesday's game, a 94-90 loss to Detroit, and accompanied the team to Charlotte. Childress is fourth on the team with an average of 12.2 points per game.

Shaquille O'Neal doesn't expect to make his debut for the Phoenix Suns until after the All-Star break. After working out for a third straight day with his new team before Wednesday night's game against Golden State, O'Neal said he wanted to make sure his injured hip was completely healed and that he knew enough of the offense before playing his first game with the Suns. He said we wouldn't play Thursday at home against Dallas but hoped to play soon after this weekend's All-Star break.
