LeBron James missed his second straight game with a sprained left index finger when the Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Boston Celtics on Sunday. He was hurt in the second quarter Wednesday night in a loss to Detroit when Nazr Mohammed slapped at the ball as James began to shoot. Devin Brown started in his place against Boston, which entered with an NBA best 13-2 record. James leads the NBA with 30.7 points per game. He's also averaging 7.6 rebounds and 8.1 assists.

LeBron James rallied the Cavaliers with eight points in the final 2:57, and the Cavaliers hung on for a 93-91 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night. Devin Brown had 20 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who treaded dangerously close to a surprising upset loss until James scored eight of their final 10 points in the fourth stop of Cleveland's six-game road trip.

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed free agent guard Devin Brown to a contract Saturday in their first offseason roster move. Brown averaged 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists - all career-highs - for the New Orleans Hornets last season. The 6-foot-5 Brown can play both guard positions as well as small forward. Terms of the deal were not available. "Devin is a versatile basketball player," Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said.
